What are The Candle Co. retail candles made from?
Our candles are handcrafted using a premium blend of natural soy and coconut wax, paired with lead-free braided cotton wicks for a clean, even burn.
We choose soy and coconut wax because they offer significant advantages over traditional paraffin wax. Derived from renewable plant-based sources, soy and coconut wax burn more slowly and evenly, helping your candle last longer while delivering an exceptional fragrance experience. They also produce less soot than paraffin wax, making them a cleaner choice for your home.
Because our candles are made using natural waxes, you may occasionally notice slight variations in colour, texture, or surface appearance. These natural characteristics are perfectly normal and do not affect the performance, safety, or fragrance of your candle. In fact, they are part of what makes each candle unique.
For the best fragrance and burn performance, we recommend enjoying your candle within 12 months of purchase.
What fragrances do you use in your retail candles?
Our fragrance oils are developed by master perfumers in Grasse, France - the world-renowned birthplace of fine fragrance - using carefully selected ingredients sourced from around the world.
All fragrance oils used in our collection are cruelty-free, IFRA-compliant, and formulated without phthalates, parabens, or CMR substances.
Where are your candles manufactured?
Our candles are proudly hand-poured in small batches in the United Arab Emirates.
Small-batch production allows us to maintain the highest standards of quality and consistency, ensuring every candle receives the care and attention it deserves.
How do I get the best burn from my candle?
A little candle care goes a long way. For your first burn, allow the wax to melt fully across the surface of the candle before extinguishing the flame. This creates an even burn memory and helps prevent tunnelling.
Before relighting, trim the wick to approximately 5mm to encourage a clean, steady flame and optimal fragrance release. We recommend burning your candle for between 2 and 4 hours at a time for the best experience.
To preserve the quality of the burn, place your candle away from drafts, fans, and open windows. With proper care, your candle will deliver a beautiful, even burn and a luxurious fragrance experience from the first light to the last.
